James "Tony" Freeman, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday Dec 12th at Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth.
He was born in Marple, Cheshire, England May 28th 1940. Tony had a wonderful and successful life. He became a Director of Sales and Marketing for Crosby Valve in the UK. And eventually his job brought him and his family to Attleboro in 1982, where he worked at Crosby Valve in Wrentham. He and his wife moved to Middleboro in 2001.
Tony was a devoted Manchester United fan, and spent many a good time at Old Trafford watching Man U. play. He was on the Marple soccer team for many years. Along with his love for soccer he enjoyed fishing and model trains.
Tony leaves behind a loving wife Marjorie whom he was married to for 54 years. They have two children, daughter Melanie Lameiras of Attleboro and her husband Joe. Son Timothy Freeman of E. Providence and his wife Kim. Four grandchildren, Joshua and Brittany Lameiras, and Lily and Griffin Freeman. Two Great Grandchildren, Aiden and Mia Lameiras.
He has a younger sister Margaret Thackray and brother in law Rod, along with a niece and nephew who reside in Anglesey Wales.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nine Lives cat Shelter in Norton MA.
