Obituary of Marion J. Hagney

Marion J. (Trulson) Hagney, age 84, formerly of Duxbury, died on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston. Marion was a longtime Duxbury resident. She worked in the Snug Harbor and Duxbury Post offices for many years. She also volunteered for Cranberry Hospice in the 1990s. Marion enjoyed Duxbury Beach, travelling and most of all caring for young children. She was the widow of Donald Hagney. Marion is survived by a large loving family including her brother, six children and spouses, numerous grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Her funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, on Friday, December 12, 2014, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Mayflower Cemetery, 774 Tremont Street, Duxbury.
