Constance “Connie” Kilgour, 73, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 28, 2014, following an illness diagnosed as MSA. Her last Thanksgiving Day was spent with much love and laughter at homewith her family. Connie was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Duxbury for many years and served as the church’s Administrative Assistant for over 10 years. She shared a love of music with her family and was an active member of St. John’s Senior Choir as well as a member of the Snug Harbor Community Chorus in Duxbury, MA. She was a very proud member and past President of the Girl’s Friendly Society (GFS) for many years alongside her mother and daughter. She led a chapter of GFS at St. John’s Church for several years and was also heavily involved in the Boy Scouts of America with her husband and sons. She is survived by her husband, Andrew, sons Ross and partner Suann of Westwood and Ian and wife Christine of Plymouth, daughter Julie of Plymouth, 2 grandchildren, Meaghan and Alec, a brother John and wife Karen of Brookline and several nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 19th, from 4-6:00 and 7-9:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (route 106) Kingston. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, December 20th at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Duxbury. A reception will follow, to be held at the Duxbury Senior Center, 11 Mayflower Street, Duxbury. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Oncology Unit at MGH, Boston, or the Animal Rescue League of Boston
