Obituary of Norman Edward Bouchard

Norman Edward Bouchard, age 88, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died on Thursday, December 4, 2014, after a brief period of failing health, at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. He was the beloved husband of Ruth E. Bouchard.
Born on September 23, 1926, he was the son of the late Charles & Albertine Bouchard. Norman was one out of 12 children. He was a proud veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. Norm and four of his brothers served simultaneously. He worked as a self employed plumber and also was the plumbing and gas inspector for the town of Kingston for 38 years. Norman loved hunting, fishing and gardening with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth E. (Washburn) Bouchard; sister, Yvette Bouchard of Plymouth; son, Norman E. Bouchard, Jr. & his wife Kristin of Marstons Mills; daughter, Judith E. MacPherson & her partner Paul of Plymouth; son, Thomas Bouchard, Sr. & his wife Susan of Kingston; daughter, Denise Gregson & her husband Douglas of Guam, as well as 14 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Norman will be missed by all.
Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, from 4:00-7:00 PM, with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 PM.
Interment services will be private and at a later date.
