Obituary of Mark K. Sweeney

Mark K. Sweeney, 53, of Plympton, lost his battle with liver disease on November 24, 2014. He was the beloved son of Carrol (Moore) Sweeney and the late Richard W. Sweeney.
Mark is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lauren Sweeney, his children; Mark Jr, Jessica, Julie, Joshua, and and grandchildren, Emily, Maverick, and Broeden. Mark was a part of a very large family including six sisters; Kathleen, Sandra, Cheryl, Dawn, Kym, Kelly, two brothers, late Ricky, and Christopher, as well as many nieces, and nephews. Friends were also very important to Mark throughout his life.
He was a retired Local 424 union carpenter. In his free time, Mark enjoyed playing cribbage, horseshoes, and fishing with his sons as well as at the Whitman VFW, and Hanson AA. He and his wife would also travel any chance they had. Anyone fortunate to cross his path felt privileged to know him.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 28th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106), Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 10:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Evergreen cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers donation may be made In Memory of Mark Sweeney, to the American Liver Foundation, New England Chapter.
