Robert A. Wade, 77, of Kingston passed away at Newfield House, Plymouth on November 20, 2014 from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was the son of Cyril Arthur Wade, and Carolina Peck Wade. He was a lifelong resident of Kingston, graduating from Kingston High School, attending Bridgewater State College, and graduating from Eastern Connecticut University. He served two years in Korea with the Army. Bob held many jobs over the years, beginning at Bert's Restaurant, the family business, then to Plymouth-Carver High School were he coached and taught English. He retired from teaching at Carver High School. He immediately went to work on the grounds of the Duxbury Yacht Club golf course. Golf was his passion. He was a former member of the Plymouth Country Club and a director , Hilltop athletic Association, Jones River Watershed Association, and the South East Massachusetts Land Trust. He was on the Silver Lake Regional School Committee for six years serving as Chairman. He is survived by a brother Paul, of Brookline MA, his wife Patricia (Gould) Wade ; two sons, Matthew C, of Shorline Washington and Andrew C, of Kingston and the Edward B. Gould family of Kingston. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister , Marcia Wade Bailey. Honoring Bob's wishes there are no services . Burial is private. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Junior Golf Program at Squirrel Run Golf Course , 32 Elderberry Drive, Plymouth MA, 02360 c/o David Moore, golf pro. Our family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of sympathy, kindness, caring words, love and support that we recived during the entire time of Bobby's illness. We are sincerely grateful.
