Edward T. Rockett, died the morning of October 23, 2014, at his home in Carver, MA.
Ed was born in Attleboro, MA, on March 7, 1930, and was the son of the late Edward A. and Jeanette L. (Roy) Rockett.
Ed leaves his wife, Judith (Mosher) Rockett; his children, Barbara Dowdall of Attleboro, MA, Brenda Parker of Pawtucket, RI, Edward L. Rockett of North Attleborough, MA, Pamela Rice of Attleboro, MA, Tina and Valerie Rockett of North Attleborough, MA, Deborah Hudson and Darlene Holland of SC. He also leaves his step-children, Donald Shade of North Attleborough, MA, David Shade of Norton, MA, Pamela Martin of Carver, MA, and Kimberly Donovan of Carver, MA. Combined, he left 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
His siblings are Catherine Landry of North Attleborough, MA, Shirley Semple of Garner, NC, and Timothy Rockett of Union City, PA. Predeceased Edward are his brothers, William Roy Rockett, Robert J. Rockett, a sister, Jeannette Morgan, and a daughter, Shirley Baker. He also left many nieces and nephews in the North Attleborough, Attleboro, Needham, MA, Pawtucket, RI, areas, plus Maine, North Carolina and Ohio.
In his youth, he served in the National Guard for 7 years, and was employed by the North Attleborough Highway Department, Robert Munroe Contractor, M.F. Cash (both of North Attleborough) and retired from Simeone Corp. He was also a member of Laborers Union Local 138.
Wake will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Monday, October 27, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Graveside Services at the Central Cemetery, Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 10:00 AM.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Edward
