Obituary of Carol Sue Pilkington

Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carol Sue (Geddes) Pilkington, of Kingston, passed away the morning of September 2, 2014, at the age of 82. She was exactly where she wanted to be during her final days, at home and wrapped within the care of family, loved ones and care givers. She was born in Miller, Indiana and raised in the nearby town of Hobart with traditional American, Midwestern values. In 1970, she moved with her family to NJ and then in 1974 to the South Shore of Massachusetts. Carol was introduced to her late husband, Thomas A. Pilkington by her surviving, loving sister and brother in-law, Joyce and Robert Govert. The couple met in San Diego while Robert and Thomas returned to port from their first tour of duty from the Korean waters during the Korean War. They wed shortly thereafter in 1954. Carol is survived by her daughter Cynthia J. and husband Mark Perrone of Ipswich, daughter Elizabeth D. and husband Douglas Dondero of Kingston and their three children Jessica, Doug and Mia, son Thomas J. Pilkington of Plymouth and his two sons, Sterling and Spencer. Her single greatest joy in life was being with family and close friends. She will forever be known as the most sincere, loving mother and grandmother of elegance, grace and abundant kindness. Her beautiful and sparkling green eyes were capable of endless love and beauty. The family has scheduled a private service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Carol’s memory to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360, telephone 508-746-0215. “Tomorrow will be better”
