Loving mother of Amanda Whiting and her husband John Cole of Hanson, Michelle (Whiting) Rhodes of Centerville, and Laura (Weston) Willey and her husband Steve Willey of Beverly. Cherished grandmother of Jade, Harlie, Sarah, Dustin, Charles, Aydan, her step grandchildren Alanna, and Brenna, as well as her two great grandchildren, Kevyn and Scarlett. Sister of the late Edward C. Ford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as her extended family, and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at the Upland Sportsman Club, 67 Upland Rd, Plympton on October 5, 2014 from 1-5:00 PM. Linda wanted everyone to be welcome no matter how you knew her, come ready to dance, and celebrate life. Linda would want you to please come dressed casual, and comfortable. In lieu of flowers, The Linda Whiting Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is being set up. Please join us as we celebrate the life & legacy of this amazing woman that left us too soon. The hope is that this will become an annual event to raise funds and awareness for the disease Pulmonary Fibrosis that took her life. There will be a slide show, live entertainment, cash bar, raffles & silent auction items as well as open mic eulogies. We are hoping for feeling of solidarity as we say goodbye to this amazing woman in the style that she wished. All are welcome and please come as you are, that was Linda Whiting's wish. Have fun, remember the good times, dance, drink and be glad that she in't in pain anymore. In lieu of flowers please make donations that we can use once the Linda Whiting Pulmonary Fibrosis foundation is approved. If you would like to make a donation in the form of a raffle item please contact me directly. In the future the memorial event will be a cribbage tournament with a beginners tables, a 50/50 tournament and all the same as above to honor her love of the game and of life and also to continue to raise funds and awareness. https://www.facebook.com/linda.whiting.397
