Obituary of Kristen L. Janhola

Pembroke - Kristen Louise Janhola, 43, of Pembroke, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 surrounded in love by her family and caregivers at Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro, MA. Born March 16, 1971, in Brockton, MA, she was the daughter of Richard C. Janhola and Louise E. (French) Janhola both originally from Abington, MA, and now residing in Pembroke, MA. Kristen is the granddaughter of Ruth and Lloyd French of Largo, FL, and the late George and Eleanor Janhola of Abington. Kristen was the beloved “Big” sister to Kerry L. (Janhola) Sherry and her husband Patrick Sherry of Halifax, MA as well as to Stefanie M. Janhola Haen and her husband Eugene B. Haen III of Pembroke. Kristen was treasured by her nieces and nephews Brian, Paige, and Kevin Sherry of Halifax and Adam and Amanda Haen of Pembroke. She was a very special constant in their lives. She will also be missed by her extended family including her uncle, Robert French “UB”, and family. Kristen graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School class of 1989. Many around town knew her from working at the recycling center in Pembroke. Kristen had a love for life and a smile that could light up a room. Her family was important and the time spent together swimming, boating, playing games, vacationing, and laughing was never taken for granted. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 4th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St, (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A remembrance ceremony will take place at 6:30 PM. A burial ceremony will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, on Friday, September 5th at 12:30 PM. Family and Friends will depart from Shepherd Funeral Home at 11:15 AM.
