Carol (Hanson) Lias, 70, of Carver passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 after a brief illness. Beloved wife for 50 years to Earl Lias of Carver, and mother to her two sons, Robert Monroe of Middleboro and Jeffrey Monroe of Plymouth. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Nicole Monroe of Quincy, Derek Monroe of Hingham, and Tylor Monroe of Plymouth; her brother, Leslie Hanson of New Bedford; her step-daughter, Elise Heston of Lehigh Acres, FL; and her great-granddaughter, Emelia Monroe of Hingham.
Visiting hours will be 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12 at Shepherd Funeral Home at 116 Main Street, Carver, MA. Family and friends wishing to attend the Graveside Service at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne on Wed. Aug. 13 may arrive at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 8:30AM to pay final respects, then follow in procession to the cemetery for a 10:00 service.
