Obituary of Leona V. Hourihan

Leona "Lee" V. (Harris) Hourihan, age 89, of Kingston, formerly of Dorchester and Charlestown, passed away peacefully, on Friday, August 1, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the Skilled Nursing Center at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston. Born in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late Harry & Mary (Cole) Harris. Lee enjoyed the beach and restaurants with her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmund D. Hourihan (BPD); loving mother of Ellen Tinajera of Marshfield, John F. Hourihan of Wrentham, Mary Sweeney of Halifax, Ann Marie Hourihan of Braintree and devoted mother of the late Michael J. Hourihan & his surviving wife Ellen (Darcy) Hourihan of Hanover; cherished Nana of Matt, Michael, Marisa, Jay, Lauren, Kristin, Derek, Gregory, Patrick and Paul; great-grandmother of 13 and dear sister of the late Dorothy Nearen, Buddy Harris, Marion Sharkey and Jim (Buster) Harris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services will be private. She will be laid to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, with her husband. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choice.
