Obituary of George H. Breslin

George H. Breslin Jr, of Duxbury, passed away July 2, 2014. He was 72 years old. Beloved husband of Martha Breslin. Loving father of Tracey Breslin Woodward of Plymouth, and Brett Breslin and his wife Susan of Kingston. Cherished grandfather of Dillon Breslin, Colby Woodward, and Matthew Breslin. Mr. Breslin is a graduate of Waltham High School, and earned a B.A. from Providence College, and his M.B.A. from Golden Gate University. He is the past president of Balboa Insurance, as well as Hughes Insurance Agency, and was the Arizona Chapter CPCU President. Mr. Breslin was a member of the Holy Family Parish Council in Duxbury, Duxbury Interfaith Council, Knights of Columbus, and the New Bedford Community Foundation. He was an avid runner and tri-athlete, and was most proud of his running of the Boston Marathon, and the New York Marathon. Mr. Breslin also competed in 15 straight Falmouth Road Races, as well 150 others across the country. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 10th from 5-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 11th at 10:30 AM, at Holy Family Church in Duxbury. Interment will be private.
