Obituary of Raymond Wesley MacFarlane

Raymond Wesley MacFarlane, age 71, of Duxbury, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, June 20, 2014.
Born in Pembroke on June 30, 1942, in a home that remains in the family. Raymond was a retired master mechanic, who worked for Anastasia Brothers and Bay State Blade. He was also a call fire Captain for the Pembroke Fire Department. Ray was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Hilltop Athletic Association in Kingston. He was a gifted woodworker and an RV enthusiast, who loved to travel.
Raymond leaves his wife, Susan (Torrey) MacFarlane; five sons, Mark W. MacFarlane & his husband William Nourse of Marshfield, Darin R. MacFarlane & his wife Kathy of Duxbury, Jeffrey H. MacFarlane of Pembroke & his partner Suzanne M. Ducharme of Pembroke, Eric E. MacFarlane of Quincy & his partner Hana Hanigan of Quincy and Gregg A. MacFarlane of Duxbury & his partner Libby Jones of Marshfield. He is also survived by four granddaughters, Kayleigh and Mariah MacFarlane of Duxbury and Devon and Emily MacFarlane of Pembroke.
He was the son of the late Hazel (Cole) MacFarlane & James MacFarlane and was predeceased by his brothers, James MacFarlane and George MacFarlane. He is survived by a sister, Ethel MacFarlane of Tupelo, Mississippi.
Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Monday, June 23, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 11:00 AM.
Interment services will be private.
