Margaret A. (Ruprecht) Briggs, age 74, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at her home with her loving husband, Robert, by her side. Margaret was an avid Red Sox fan who loved lighthouses, butterflies, Teddy bears, and spending time with family. Prior to becoming wheelchair dependent, Margaret enjoyed camping, exploring the East Coast, and cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Born and raised in Kingston, Margaret was the daughter of the late Aili M.(Alander) and John E. Ruprecht; the beloved wife of Robert L. Briggs; devoted mother of Joseph DeLorenzo (deceased), Susan Sheehan of Florida, Lisa Scanlon of Scituate, and James DeLorenzo of New Bedford; and cherished sister of David Earl Ruprecht (deceased), John Ruprecht of Carver, William Ruprecht of Middleboro, James Ruprecht of Kingston, and Linda Heise of Maine. Margaret is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 2:00-6:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Bennington Boulevard, Bourne, on Monday, June 23, 2014, at 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, Margaret's family would greatly appreciate donations in Margaret's name to the National MS Society, nationalmssociety.org/Donate or National MS Society, P.O.
