Obituary of Nancy J. Hoffses

Nancy J. (Prentis) Hoffses, of Middleborough, died on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth.
She was born on November 26, 1933 in Boston and grew up in Brookline, MA. Nancy also lived in Whitman and Carver. She enjoyed being a Brownie Leader. She worked as a preschool teacher and was involved in foster care for children and young teens and then for disabled seniors. She also worked as a nurses aide at Pilgrim Manor of Plymouth for many years. Nancy was a volunteer at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth and at the Habitat for Humanity.
Nancy was married to George "Ray" Hoffses, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters; Linda Witts Lefebvre, Donna Merithew Beauregard, Debby Wisnaskas and Denise McCabe of Florida; her 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Thomas T. Prentis, Jr. of Iowa and Charles William Prentis of Texas; her sister, Gladys Croteau and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral and interment services will be private.
