Stanley C. Praskiewicz, Jr, of Kingston, age 73, died April 23rd, 2014 with his loving family at his bedside. He was the husband of the late Maureen(Graham) Praskiewicz. Stan was born June 8th,1940 to the late Stanley C. Sr. and Claire(Plamondon)Praskiewicz in Worcester, MA. Stan graduated from Northbridge High school were he was an athlete. After graduation, Stan enlisted in the Navy. He later married Maureen and raised four daughters. After many moves including: Whitman, S.Weymouth NAS, Otis AFB Falmouth, Toms River, NJ, N.Quincy, and Powder Springs, GA, Stan settled his family in Kingston,MA. Stan then retired from the Navy with 23 years of service. Stan loved Kingston and his family. He was an awesome Papa! He was seen at every sporting event, choral concert, horse show, dance recital and play he could. Stan also loved to travel and took many exciting trips with his wife, including a few cruises. Stan also enjoyed gambling. He loved the lottery, “scratchies” and casinos. He won over the years, and I hope his friends at Tedeschi’s , Whit’s and Cumby’s will be financially stable without his daily contributions. Stan is survived by his loving family: Deb Finn and her husband Chris, Nicole Ohlson and her husband Bob, Stacey Holt and her husband Sean and Colleen Hunt. And pride and joy 16 grandchildren: Victoria, Patrick and Daniel Finn, Abby, Maddy, Bobby, Tommy, Emma,Charlie, Molly, Harry Ohlson, Mackenzie and Sean Holt,Jr. , Sydnie, Olivia and Ryleigh Hunt.Visiting hours will be at Shepherd’s Funeral Home, 216Main Street, Kingston 4-8pm on Monday April 28th . Family and friends are welcome to the funeral home on Tuesday April 29th at 9am, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Kingston, at 10am. Interment at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paralyzed Veteran’s of America or the Wounded Warriors Project.
