Obituary of Marilyn Lee Nickerson

Marilyn Lee Nickerson, of Duxbury, passed away on April 23, 2014. She was 71 years old. Beloved wife of 52 years to Peter S. Nickerson. Marilyn was born in Brockton, and is the daughter of Beatrice A. Jenkins of Braintree and the late William Jenkins. She is a graduate of Braintree High School, and of the Chandler School in Boston. She was the former organist at St. John's church in Holbrook. Marilyn owned and operated Daylite Donut Shoppe in Halifax for 22 years. The past 10 years she has worked at Roche Brothers Supermarket in Marshfield. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family. Loving mother of Sandra L. Rollock and Vicky L. Nickerson both of Duxbury. Cherished grandmother of Caitlyn Rollock, Douglas Rollock, Cassandra Rollock, and Chelsae Rollock all of Duxbury. Marilyn was the eldest of 7 children; Carolyn Jenkins of Randolph, Robert Jenkins of OH, Russell Jenkins of Braintree, Richard Jenkins of Braintree, Deborah (Jenkins) Clark of NC, and the late William Jenkins, Jr. Marilyn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (rt. 106) Kingston.
