Gove, Ruth (Haselton) Of Duxbury MA, formally of Kingston MA, age 88 died peacefully on March 25, 2014 after many years as a cancer survivor. She was born on February 2, to the late Henry J. and Anna (Bond) Haselton in Medford, MA. Ruth graduated from Medford High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Framingham State University. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, George E. Gove, Jr. She started her career at Lever Brothers and met her future husband while working at Jordan Marsh. A devoted wife and mother, Ruth was a homemaker for many years while raising her family. She returned to work becoming a home economics teacher at Silver Lake Regional Jr. High School for 13 years retiring to travel the world and spend time with her grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her three children, Sarah Wilsterman and her husband Rick of Boston and Chatham, MA, Ged and his wife Wendy of Holliston, MA and Nathaniel and his wife Amy of Princeton, MA. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 5, 2014 at 11am at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Duxbury, MA. Immediately following the service there will be a reception next door to the church at The Winsor House. All are welcome to attend the memorial service and reception. The family is requesting that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
