Obituary of Barbara Jean Flammia Phillips

Barbara Jean Flammia Phillips, a sprightly 62, of Pembroke, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 17, 2014. Born in Brockton on September 27, 1951, she grew up in Bridgewater. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Stacia Flammia. She graduated from UMass in 1974 and went on to achieve a MS in criminal justice from Northeastern University in 1982. She gave up an incredible career to follow her true passion: her family. Barbara was the vibrant and inspirational wife of Gary Phillips and the brilliant mother of Krista and Mark Phillips of Pembroke. Proud and devoted mom of her golden retriever, Bentley. Dear sister of Michael Flammia of Winston, Georgia. Loving aunt to David, Michael, Matthew, Nicole, Jaime, Gianna & Gabrielle. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Friday, February 21, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Her funeral service will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 410 Washington Street, Duxbury, on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow at the church. All are welcome. Interment services will be private.
