Obituary of Ruth Newell

Ruth (Bacigalupo) Besarick Newell 89, passed away on Dec.8, 2013. She was born in Boston February 21, 1924. She is pre-deceased by her husbands Harry Besarick in 2004 and Dwight Newell in 1997; her sister Edith caughlan Dec 6, 2013, her brother Stephan Bache of Florida last February and her brother Edward Bacigalupo who was shot down in France in 1944. Ruth is survived by her sister Barbara Avery, who is the last of their generation, her daughter Sandy Mabry Messett of California, her son Roy Besarick of Massachusetts, her grandson’s Paul Besarick and Patrick Mabry,also her great grandson Benjerman Mabry. Ruth was a plane spotter in Boston during WWII, a homemaker and mother. Later she became a licensed practical nurse and worked at South Shore Hospital. She went back to school for nuclear medicine and worked at Jordan Hospital; then went back to school again to get her real estate license from which she retired. Ruth was cremated per her request.
