Obituary of Lucy Golombek

Lucy (Capan) Golombek, 96, passed away peacefully December 27, 2013 at her home in Plymouth, MA.
Lucy was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Pribanic) and Mary (Gurzuric) Capan. She was the beloved wife for more than sixty years to Theodore (Ted) Golombek, who passed away in 2001, and loving mother of the late, Marge Minear, who passed in 2010.
Lucy worked for more than 25 years at Trico Products, the company which invented the windshield wiper blade, in its original plant in Buffalo, NY. She retired to Highland Lakes, Palm Harbor, FL in 1977 and moved to MeadowWoods, Carver, MA in 1994.
Lucy will be forever missed by her son in law, Bryan (Bud) Minear, her grandchildren: Debi & Joseph Cherry, Wendy & Peter Reynolds, Tim & Kim Minear and Jenai Minear, and her great grandchildren, JoeB Cherry & Chelsey Reynolds.
She is also survived by her brother, John Capan and her sister in law, Barbara Capan, of Akron, NY, and many loving nieces and nephews and their children including: Kathryn Capan, Joe & Linda Capan, Jimmy & Dianne Lucas Capan, Jane & Steve Karle, Julie & Carl Patterson, Cindy & Linda Ransing, Fran & Linda Capan, Frank Capan, Norma Kirchofer Young and Roxanne & Doug Stedman.
Lucy was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses: Frank (Florence) Capan, Catherine (Dutch) Kirchofer, Mary (Ray) Ransing, Joseph Capan and her sister in law, Helen Capan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 126 South Meadow Road, Plymouth, MA 02360. In lieu of flowers, Donations in Memory of Lucy may be made to the Church. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Carver, MA beside her husband and daughter.
