Obituary of Margaret T. Furey

Margaret Teresa Quarles Furey, of Carver, and formerly of Boston, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was 85 years old. She was the beloved wife of Armon S. Furey, and the daughter of the late Henry E. and Teresa (Thomas) Quarles Sr. Margaret was the devoted mother of Karen J. Hall of Raleigh, NC, Glenn M. Hall and his wife Betty of Boston, Anthony C. Hall and his wife Jennifer of Boston, and the late Joseph L. Hall. Margaret is also survived by her step children; Marsha A. Galvez and her husband Jose of Brockton, and Michael A. Furey of Boston. She was the loving sister to Jeanne Q. Tibbs of Boston, and the late Henry E. Quarles Jr. Sister in law to Dorothy M. Quarles of Aurora, CO, and is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Margaret was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58), Carver at 8:00 AM on Monday, December 23rd, with a funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 130 Main St (Rt. 58), Carver at 9:00 AM. Interment will be at the MA National cemetery in Bourne at 11:15 AM.
