James "Tom" T. Corn, age 76, of Duxbury, formerly of Dedham, died on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Life Care Center in Plymouth. Born in Boston on April 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Lorenzo & Helen (Pope) Corn. Tom worked at Halliday Lithographs formerly in Plympton. After retirement, his main hobby was photography, especially as the historian for the Duxbury Legion Post. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette (Beckett) Corn; devoted father of Jimmy Corn of Plymouth, Jeffrey Corn formerly of Duxbury, Jason Corn of Cambridge and Janelle Corn of Plymouth; loving grandfather of Alexandre and Gianna; dear brother of Lawrence Corn & his wife Louise of TX, John Corn & his wife Gwen of FL, Gayle Corn of CA and the late Anne Martin; dear brother-in-law of Charlene Beckett of Marshfield and Karen Beckett of Boston. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 9:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, at 10:00 AM. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Duxbury Legion Post #223, P.O. Box 1113, Duxbury, MA 02331 or to the Duxbury Senior Center, 10 Mayflower Street, Duxbury, MA 02332.
