John Skrinyaz, age 62, of Pembroke, formerly of Dorchester, died on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at his home.
John was born in Poland. For many years, he was a machinist. In recent years, John enjoyed providing transportation for people by driving for The Ride. He liked everyone and he was a great people person! John was also an avid gardener; he loved growing vegetables in his garden.
For 40 years, John was the beloved husband of Krystyna (Wisniewski) Skrinyaz; devoted father of Robert Skrinyaz & his wife Chelsea of California, Katherine Skrinyaz of Pembroke and Janyce Kemp & her husband David of Hanover; loving grandfather of James Ryan and Benjamin Kemp; cherished son of Stanley & Apolonia (Misiaszek) Skrzyniarz of Dorchester; dear brother of George Skrzyniarz & his wife Donna of Hanson, Eugene Skayne & his wife Gisela of Boxborough and Elizabeth Skrzyniarz of Connecticut. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Pembroke, on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 9:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson, at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree.
