Ferdinando L. Benotti, of Kingston, passed away on September 4, 2013. He was 94 years old. Devoted husband of the late Olga (Guidaboni) Benotti. Loving father of Steve and Connie Benotti of Kingston, and Phil and Liz Benotti of Pembroke. Grandfather of Stephen and his wife Sue Benotti of Bourne, Peter and his wife Christine Benotti of Plymouth, Anthony and his wife Suzanne Benotti of Plymouth, Erica Benotti of New Mexico, and Scott Benotti of Cambridge. Great grandfather of Tyler, Katelyn, Ashley, Daniel, and Jacob. Son of the late Isadore and Ida Benotti. Brother of the late Leontina Corsini, Anna Balboni, Sylvia Cortelli, Silvio Benotti, Olga Maloni, and Fortunato Benotti. Mr. Benotti served with distinction during World War II in the South Pacific Theater with the Army Infantry. Upon his return he married his wife Olga, and together they ran Benotti's Grocery in N. Plymouth. In 1964 he took over Benotti's Market on Main St in Kingston, and converted it to a package store in the 1970's. They retired in 1984. He was an avid golfer, and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of the VFW, Lions Club, Seaside Club, and Hillside Club. A Funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 9th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's church in Kingston. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston, at 9:00 AM. Interment will be at the St. Joseph cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Jimmy Fund at www.jimmyfund.org.
