Obituary of Kevin B. Conroy

Kevin Barry Conroy, 61, of Carver, died August 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carol Mirrione Conroy, of Carver, as well as his loving children Samantha, Vanessa, Daniel, Michael, Amanda, Matthew, Erick, Angel, Brianna, and his recently deceased son Thomas. He is also survived by his grandchildren Clarissa, Tiffany, Mark, Alia, Olivia, and Caiden.
He was the son of the late Patrick and Mary Conroy, and brother of the late Jackie. Kevin is survived by his sister Maureen, her husband Jim, and his brother Jimmy. He also leaves his mother- and father-in-law, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Kevin was born February 14, 1952 in Jamaica, New York. Following their marriage 40 years ago, Kevin and Carol moved to Massachusetts and have resided in Carver for the past 34 years. Kevin enjoyed his work as an IT tech.
Kevin was an amazing and selfless man who always put his family first. He was so loved and respected by family, friends, and his peers. Kevin was a sweet, genuine, and gentle person. He enjoyed playing theguitar, drawing, photography, and home improvement projects. He will be greatly missed and will always hold a very special place in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (rt. 58) in Carver. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Shepherd Funeral Home, with interment following at Union Cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Thomas Conroy Memorial Scholarship Fund.Donations can be made at any Rockland Trust Bank or mailed to Rockland Trust, 124 Main Street, Carver, MA 02330.
