Obituary of Esther V. McCain

Esther V. (Drysdale) McCain, age 92, of Carver, died on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Louis & Emma (Young) Drysdale. Esther was the beloved wife of James G. McCain for 68 years; loving mother of Charlotte L. McCain of Carver; dear sister of the late Doris Lovett and Evelyn Garland; dear sister-in-law of Leonard McCain, Dean McCain, Gene McCain, Merle McCain and Margaret Billings. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visitation at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by a prayer service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Central Cemetery, Route 58, Carver. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Esther's memory may be made to the Jordan Hospital Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich Street, Plymouth, MA 02360-2196.
