Chelsea S. Nickerson, age 27, of Plymouth, died on Saturday, June 29, 2013, after a lifelong battle against Cystic Fibrosis, at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Boston, Chelsea was the loving daughter of Richard Nickerson of Plympton and the late Cheryl (Francisco) Nickerson Brown, formerly of Plymouth. Chelsea was a 2004 graduate of Plymouth South High School. She attended the vocational program and received her cosmetology license upon graduation. She was employed by Hot Locks Hair Salon in Plymouth. Chelsea loved her job and all of her fellow employees and most of her clients. She loved long walks on the beach with her loving fiance, Mike, and her dog, Penny. She also loved her cat, Cloudy. She is survived by her father, Richard Nickerson of Plympton; her brother, Colin Nickerson of Plymouth; her grandmother, Shirley Francisco, of Rhode Island; her step-mother, Janette Nickerson of Plympton; her fiance, Mike Williams of Plymouth and many relatives and friends including her CF Team at the Brigham & Women's Hospital. Memorial visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 4:00-7:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chelsea's memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Massachusetts/Rhode Island Chapter, 220 North Main Street, Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760.
