John (Jack) Twohig, age 83 of Kingston, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully, after a brief illness, May 26, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife and best friend Jane Joyce Twohig. Loving step-father of Stephen Joyce and his wife Wendy of Weymouth, Nelson Joyce and his wife Lori of AZ, Peter Joyce and his wife Holly of Oakham, Paul Joyce and his wife Anne of Weymouth, and Jayne Cattaneo and her husband Tom of Duxbury, grandfather of 10. Jack was a proud veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack received the Commendation Ribbon for meritorious service while station at Yongehon, Korea on Sept 28, 1950. Jack worked for the Brockton school department for 38 years. When Jack retired, he relocated to Kingston. Jack and his wife Jane loved to travel and went on several cruises all over the world. The essence of his life was his family. He will be remembered as a true gentleman. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 4th from 10-11:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (106) Kingston. Interment will be private.
