Anthony J. Rapoza, of Halifax, passed away on May 26, 2013. He was 70 years old. Beloved husband of Connie Rapoza. Loving father of Kym (Rapoza) Rowan, Carole and Jay Wassmouth, Michelle Caray, Michael Carey, and the late Kelly Cram. Son of Maurice and Joyce Gordon. Brother of Ray and Muriel Gordon, Donna Nelson, and the late Bryan Gordon. Adopted son of Manuel, Maria, and Dorothy Rapoza. Adopted brother of Jean Botelho, Richard Diaz, Cheryl James and Alan Freedman, Donna and Steve Pereira, Karen and Richard Bergeron, John Diaz Jr, Susan Diodato, Robert Diaz, Fred Russell, Tracy and Mike Anabel, and the late Edward Diaz. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Andrew, Danny, Colleen, Brittany, Evan, Tyler, and Noah, and great grandfather of 5. Anthony is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his godson Bradley Raymond Gordon. Anthony was a member of the B.P.O. Elks in Plymouth, Portuguese Union of Kingston, the M.C.M.A.A., and the Halifax Mobile Home Assoc. He loved cooking, fishing, listening to country music, riding his Honda, and telling jokes. Visiting hours will be held on Friday May 31st from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Saturday June 1st at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Central cemetery in Halifax. Donations may be made in Anthony's name to: American Lung Assoc. at www.lung.org.
