Marguerite(Moriarty)O’LEARY, of Yarmouthport and Lowell, died May 25, 2013,at age 96. She grew up in South Boston and in 1938 married Daniel H. O’Leary, who became the first Chancellor of the University of Lowell. They spent the first year of their marriage in Rome, and aside from talking about her 6 children, her proudest boast was that she had the unique privilege of being blessed by three popes. She is survived by 3 sons, James O’Leary of Cushing ME,Daniel O’Leary of Brookline and Robert O’Leary of Cummaquid and 3 daughters,Nancy Melia of Duxbury,Ellen Coughlin of Seabrook Isl,SC and Deborah Bryant of West Falmouth in addition to 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home,216 Main St,Kingston from 10-11 am on Wed,May 29 followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church,Rte 3A, Duxbury at 11:30.Burial in St.Joseph’s Cemetery,West Roxbury.
