Obituary of Claudia Welcher

Claudia (DeCarvalho) Welcher, age 90, of Hanson, formerly of Dorchester, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Cordie Welcher; loving aunt of Louis Mendes, Jr. of Hanson & his late wife Barbara Gomes Mendes and Rita Gomes & her husband James of Summerfield, FL, formerly of Hanson. Claudia is also survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Pembroke, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 9:00 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Fern Hill Cemetery, High Street, Hanson. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Claudia's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
