Obituary of Mary W. Whiteley

Mary W. (Phemister) Whiteley, age 87, of Kingston, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Stafford Hill Assisted Living in Plymouth. Born in Braintree, she was the daughter of the late Alexander & Mary (Richards) Phemister. Mary was an avid golfer and served on the Golf Tournament Committee at Saint Joseph's Church in Kingston. She also served on the committee to build the parish hall and Mary loved to travel. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Edward Whiteley; devoted mother of Lynne Whiteley of Plymouth and Elizabeth Vacchino of Plympton; loving grandmother of Kara Swisher & her husband Chris of Jersey City, Lynsey Vacchino of Kingston and Mark Vacchino of Kingston. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Her funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph's Church, 272 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
