Obituary of Charles D. Welch

Charles D. Welch, age 90, of Kingston, died on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at his home. Born in Amesbury, MA, he was the son of the late Olive & Charles D. Welch, Sr. For many years, he was an engineer with Raytheon Company and NASA. Charles was also the owner of the Shoreline Welding Company in Kingston. He was the beloved husband of Bernice (Parsons) Welch; devoted father of Rev. Barbara K. Welch of Scituate and Diane E. Bartlett & her husband Richard of Duxbury; loving grandfather of Jonathan Todd Bartlett of FL, Stacey Bartlett of Duxbury, Linda Bartlett of Woburn and great-grandfather of J.T. Bartlett of Woburn; dear brother of the late Marguerite Purdy and dear uncle of Beverly Linthwaite of Hampton, NH and Mark Purdy of Amesbury, MA. A celebration of life service will be held at the Wollaston Church of the Nazarene (on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College), 37 East Elm Avenue, Wollaston, on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 3:00 PM. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Wollaston Church of the Nazarene, 37 East Elm Avenue, Quincy, MA 02170.
