Margaret Cedarstrom age 97, died peacefully, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility in Cohasset. Beloved wife of the late George W. Cedarstrom of Carver. Margaret is survived by son Kenneth and wife Louise of Hanover, daughter Pauline Cooney of Enfield, CT. and son Norman and wife Teri of Norwell as well as her sister Mary Kirkland of Plymouth. Peg as she was known to all her friends is survived by grandchildren George Cedar-strom and wife Ann in Carver, John Cedarstrom and wife Trina in Weymouth, Edward Cooney and wife Lauren in Jericho VT, Thomas Cooney and friend Regina in Corvallis OR, Mark Cooney and wife Sarah in Enfield, CT and Paul Cooney and wife Jennifer in Agawam, MA and James Cedarstrom in Los Angles CA. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Borne Margaret Baxter Provan in Bearsden, Scotland, she spent most of her life in Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1933. After raising her family in Quincy, She and George moved to Weymouth. After George retired from the Quincy Shipyard, they moved to Carver. She was a devoted member of the Salem Lutheran church in Quincy and The United Parish Church in Carver. Visiting hours were Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Shepherd funeral home 116 Main Street (Rte.58), Carver MA 02330. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. at the United Protestant Parish of Carver. Internment at Union Cemetery in South Carver. She will be interred next to George in the Union Cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margarets name to the Norwell VNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
