Obituary of Mark Stephen Neacy

Mark Stephen Neacy, beloved husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend, died at his Pembroke home,Thursday, February 21 after a five month struggle with cancer.
Mark’s passion in life was his family; his wife, Lynn, and his daughters Jennifer and Caroline. He delighted in their many accomplishments and loved spending time with them at the family cottage in Saquish. The family enjoyed socializing with their many friends and relatives at the beach.
An avid golfer and Red Sox’s and Celtics fan, Mark was anamateur drummer and a fanatic fan of Aerosmith and Earth, Wind and Fire. He will be remembered for his love of music, his sense of humor, as a “World Class Master of Ceremonies,” and for his activities with the Pembroke Historical Society and the annual Pembroke Fish Fry.
Mark was the son of Mary and Donald Neacy (deceased). Born in Washington, D.C. August 24, 1959, Mark grew up in the Dayton, Ohio area, graduating from Alter High School in 1977 and from the University of Dayton in 1981 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He has been a resident of Massachusetts for over twenty years.
At the time of his death, Mark was employed as the Branch Sales Manager for the Sovereign Bank in Hanover.
Close relatives who survive Mark and who will remember him forever are his mother Mary Neacy of Venice, Florida, sister Leanne and David Wrench of Yorba Linda, California, sister Maureen and David Thomas of Gainesville, Georgia, mother-in-law June Osborne, sister-in-law Janis Osborne, brother-in-law George R. Osborne and Valerie, all of Marshfield; nieces and nephew: Alexa and Sydney Wrench, Cole and Savanna Kemper, Elizabeth, Christine, and Daniel Osborne.
Mark’s relatives and friends are invited to join the family for an Evening of Remembrance at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (rt. 106) Kingston on Friday, February 22, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Father Michael McNamara will offer a Mass celebrating Mark’s life at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Hanson on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Colorful attire to honor Mark’s love of life is suggested. A reception will follow in the Church Hall immediately after Mass.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
