Obituary of Leo V. LaFargue

Leo V. LaFargue, age 78, of Pembroke, died on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at his home. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Vivian & Lillian (Butler) LaFargue. Leo was an avid gardener and golfer. He also loved to cook. For 57 years, Leo was the beloved husband to Joan M. (Coughlin) LaFargue; devoted father of Michelle F. Minors of Franklin & her late husband Clarence Minors, Jr. and Laura A. LaFargue of Quincy; loving grandfather of Brittany Michelle Minors and dear brother of Blanche Thibodeaux of Pembroke and Peter LaFargue of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 PM. His funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett Street, (Route 58), Halifax, on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Center Cemetery, Oldham Street, Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leo's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
