I was very sad to hear about Dick's passing. I will always remember his dry wit. He was my CAS mentor and taught me more about how to live than make a living. He would speak so fondly about his farm, animals and family. I hope you have so many happy memories to guide you through this time. My thoughts and prayers are with each one of you. God Bless.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences on Dick's passing. I considered Dick a good friend and always
enjoyed his "keep in touch" phone calls. I worked with
Dick for almost 20 years at Customs. He was a good
friend from day one and was always very helpful with
technical accounting questions. He was always so proud
of his family - I felt I knew all of you personally as he
always kept us up to date on what was going on in your
lives. His loss will be felt by many.
Sincerely, Jeff Shaw

Dear Linda, Richard, and Nicole,
I am so sorry to learn that Dick passed away and offer you my deepest sympathy.
I worked with Dick in Regulatory Audit about 3 years before he retired. My work area was located in the same room that he, Jeff Shaw and Dick Cummins worked in. We had the opportunity to share a lot of laughs together. Dick taught me a lot of things about the computer and data part of my audit job and was always patient. He was also an excellent teacher. I appreciated his help and always felt comfortable asking him audit related questions. He was a very intelligent and witty man. Dick loved his children and wife very much as was evidenced by the way he talked about all of you. He was very proud of his children's accomplishments and the nice people that they are. He said his wife had a lot to do with that when I gave him credit!!! I know you will all miss him very much. I hope it gives you some comfort to know that he was respected and well liked by his co-workers.
I shall keep you and Dick in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Carol Hodapp

Linda and family - My sincere sympathy for your loss. I was privileged to be in the Computer Audit Specialist training with Dick. He was our leader and arranged many outings, for example attending a Texans baseball game. Dick was so helpful to everyone and a source of strength. May God comfort you and your family at this difficult time.

My wife and I extend our heartfelt condolences on the dearth of Dick. I worked with Dick for nearly 20 years at US Customs and from day one, he was a friend and for me a go to guy for technical accounting issues. Dick was always friendly, knowledgable, and I enjoyed all of the audit assigments we ever worked on over the years. I know from many conversations over the years that his family - his wife, his son and his daughter- were always his first priority in life. We spoke often about your horses, school options for the kids, hockey games , marriages etc. We spoke at Thanksgiving when we were trying to set a lunch date on the Cape. Dick was a first class family man, sports fan and friend. Jeff Shaw
