Joseph E. Doyle, age 90, of Kingston, raised in Dedham and lived 42 years in Needham until his retirement to Kingston, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and devoted wife Claire, of 63 years.
After serving in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge, he bought his father's family catering business and function halls known as Whiton Hall, when his father, Joseph J. Doyle retired. He also became a Court Officer in Suffolk Superior Court. Joseph and Claire retired to Rocky Nook in Kingston, where they met many, many moons ago.
Besides his wife, he leaves three children and four grandchildren.
Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Monday, November 12, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on Tuesday, November 13 at 9:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury at 10:00 AM.
Interment to follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Elm Street, Kingston.
