Obituary of Clifton A. Walent

Clifton A. Walent, age 71, of Pembroke, formerly of Stoughton, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (DeWitt) Walent for 45 years; devoted father of James Walent & his wife Kristine of East Bridgewater and Cmdr. Daniel Walent & his wife Shannon of MD; loving grandfather of Michelle, Meagan, Maddie, Hannah and Ricky; dear brother of Philip Walent & his wife Marlene of CA and Clifton's twin brother, Dr. Carl Walent & his wife Patricia of Hanson. Cliff enjoyed spending his time with his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful, caring and loving father and grandfather. He was gentle and kind and a friend to all. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Monday, November 5, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Pembroke, on Tuesday, November 6 at 9:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson, at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, Development Office, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
