Therese M. Crook passed away peacefully on the twelfth day of August, 2012, at Life Care Center, in Plymouth MA. In the war years 1941 – 1945, the Hope Sisters, Therese, Anne and Claire sang for the US troops throughout the United States and the islands in the Pacific theater. Their inspirational songs provided joy for the military men in those dire times. Known for her joie de vie, Mrs. Crook continued to entertain family and friends with song for the remainder of her life. Pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence E. Crook, Sr. a son, Robert L. Crook, and 18 siblings. Survived by: Son, Lawrence E. Crook, Jr. and his wife Pamela, Greenfield, NH; David R. Crook and his wife Alison, Gilford, NH; Robin M. Crook, N Providence, RI; Gregory A. Crook and his wife Margaret, Newton, MA, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 16th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 17th at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph's church in Kingston. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org and/or Kingston Public Library, 6 Green St, Kingston, MA 02364.
