Becky called me from Florida today to tell me that your mother has passed. When we first returned this year, I attempted to call Helen a few times, but just did not get the time to visit her. I usually tried to stop in to see her when I went through Carver. When I saw her last fall, she was a peppy as ever, just confined to her bed.
I tried to call her Monday this week, but did not get an answer on her phone. I just had the feeling that I should call and touch base with her again.
You mother was always a loyal and true friend, and she always asked and wanted information about everyone. She and I had been friends since all of you were kids. She and I had our last kids about the same time. She was loyal, loving, and a hard worker.
She will be missed by everyone, and never forgotten by those of us who knew her.
I am sure that she and Arnie are happy to be together again. They were never meant to be apart.
Our hope that all of you are well and know that we will miss your mother. For those of you who still remember me by my other name, think Pat Vaughan.
