May I. Crawford March 16, 2012 Marshfield: May (Card) Jessop Crawford, was welcomed into Jesus’ arms on March 16th surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born and raised in Winthrop, and spent the last 60 years with her family in Marshfield and Duxbury. May was the beloved wife of the late Frank E. Crawford and the late Joseph H. Jessop. Devoted mother to John and his wife Kathleen Duggan Jessop of Middleboro, Joann and her husband Mark O’Connor of Halifax, Sue Dooley-Curran and her late husband Thomas F. Curran of Plymouth, Wayne Jessop of Duxbury, Robert Jessop of Marshfield, Lorraine Jessop of Somerville, and Carol Jessop McCarthy of Duxbury. Loving grandmother to 11 cherished grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Annette Lavoie. May is survived by 13 nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late William and Isabelle Card. May will be missed by her friends and acquaintances at the Marshfield Council on Aging where she was a dedicated volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program for over 35 years. May was one of the founding members of the First Baptist Church of Duxbury and actively participated in church activities. Friends and family members are warmly invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday at Shepherd Funeral home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Duxbury. Burial will be in the Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury. Donations in May’s memory may be made to the Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
