Obituary of Jean Shirley Chase

Jean Shirley Chase, of Brewster, passed away on March 17, 2012. She was 85 years old. Born in Newton, she is the daughter of Hammond G. and Muriel Blaney. Wife of the late Robert W. Chase, Sr. and sister of Lockhart Blaney of Dedham. Survived by her sons, Robert W. Chase Jr and wife Cecile of NH, Roger W. Chase of NH, and R. Wayne Chase and his wife Patricia of Harwich.
She loved her 10 grandchildren, Lynda, Roger Jr., Andrew, Abigail, Wilson, and Brian Chase, Todd Eldridge, Kimberly Berto, Richard and Melissa Chase, as well as 10 great grandchildren. She will also miss her nieces and nephews, Lawrence, Sheldon, Scott, and Leslie Blaney.
She worked at Coral Gables of N. Weymouth, Quincy Telephone Service, and Talbots of Hingham. She was an avid knitter, and cross stitcher, enjoyed traveling around the world, dancing with Bob, camping, bowling, and her many years of enjoyment on Cape Cod. She was a friend to all, but will sadly miss her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 20th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 21st at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:00 AM.
