George A. Swart, Jr., 72, of Pembroke, died Feb. 28.
Beloved husband of Marilyn (Dowd) Swart. Loving father of David Swart and his wife Karen of Pembroke and Dennis Swart and his wife Colleen of Bridgewater. Son of the late George and Elsie (Crawford) Swart, Sr. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kelly, Brian, Ryan, and Katie Swart, his sister Doris Rand and her husband Cliff , his brother Russell Swart and his wife Marie, his sister-in-law Marlene Swart and the late Richmond Swart.
George was a member of the Rockland Golf Course, the Pembroke Country Club, the DAV, and the Rockland Eagles. He taught for over 20 years at Weymouth Voc Tech and South Shore Regional Vocational. He was a veteran of the US Navy. George was an avid golfer, and he loved watching sports with friends and family, and working in his yard.
Visiting hours from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Rt. 14 Pembroke Center, on Sun. Mar.4 from 2-6PM. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
