Obituary of Paul P. Brosseau

Paul P. Brosseau, age 81, of Pembroke, died peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2012, surrounded by his family.
Born in Cambridge, Paul was the son of the late Philip & Rita (LeBlanc) Brosseau. He was a Pembroke resident and an instrumentation specialist with the Polaroid Corporation for 28 years. Paul attended Blessed Sacrament School in Cambridge and graduated from Brockton High School in 1947. He proudly served as a radioman in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Gatling. Paul is a past commander of the American Legion (Arthur Briggs Church) Post 143 of Pembroke and past district commander.
He was predeceased by his wife, Vera (MacDonald) and his son, Phillip Brosseau, and is survived by his daughters, Paula (Brosseau) Doherty & her husband Michael Doherty of Pembroke, Pamela Brosseau of Halifax, Patricia Brosseau of Pembroke; grandchildren, Kevin and Jared Brosseau of Apopka, FL, Michael Jr., Matthew and Marc Doherty of Pembroke; and his brother, Ronald Brosseau & his wife Carol of Brockton.
Calling hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Thursday, February 2, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, on Friday, February 3 at 9:30 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
A reception will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012, from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Bryantville Meeting House (behind the Bryantville Fire Station), 32 School Street, (Route 27), Pembroke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion, c/o Post 143, P.O. Box 182, Pembroke, MA 02359.
