Obituary of William R. Kelley

William R. Kelley, Sr. of Plympton, formerly of Braintree, passed away on January 3, 2012. He was 87 years old. Mr. Kelley was a World War II veteran in the US Navy, and served on the USS Vicksburg. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 7, and was a lifetime member of Savin Hill Yacht Club. He loved boating, and the ocean, and was an avid Tuna fisherman.
Loving husband of the late Elizabeth Kelley. Beloved father of William R. Kelley Jr of Plympton, and Patricia A. Ross and her husband Michael G. Ross of Plympton. Cherished grandfather of Lisa Lakin, Jason Lakin, Ryan Ross, and Sean Ross, and great grandfather of Alexis and Andrew Lakin.
A service will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 PM followed by visiting hours until 6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. Mr. Kelley will be buried at Sea. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Paralyzed Veterans of America, PVA: Donation Processing Center, 7 Mill Brook Rd, Wilton, NH 03086.
