Bernice Radnor Athanas of Attleboro and Carver died on January 1st, 2012. She was the daughter of George and Grace Radnor and was -predeceased by her brother Donald Radnor and her loving husband of 69 years, Demetrius Athanas. Bernice was born on February 21, 1921 in Norton, MA, and graduated from Attleboro High School in 1939.
Bernice was a legal assistant to her brother-in-law, the late honorable Judge Philip Athanas for many years before joining Augat, Inc in Attleboro as a sales representative. After her very accomplished career at Augat, she continued to work in several sales positions with her last as a real estate agent at South Meadow Village in Carver at the youthful age of 88. Her favorite hobbies were watching and feeding her birds, sewing, camping, and spending time and holidays with her family.
Bernice is survived by three loving children: Dale and his wife Joy, Dean and his wife Nancy, and Debbie and her husband Colin Taylor, and her grandchildren whom she adored: Stephen, Nicholas, Abigail and Sarah, her great grandson Caleb, and many loving nieces and nephews. Hers was a long life very well lived indeed.
A private service will be held at Center Cemetery in Norton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth where she received such wonderful care.
