Obituary of John G. Marshall

John G. Marshall, of Carver, formerly of Norwell and Milton died December 2, 2011 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was the beloved husband of A. Barbara (Paananen) Marshall of Carver for 56 years, and the father of John A Marshall of Bourne, and David G. Marshall of Marshfield, and grandfather of Dylan B. Marshall, and Natalie Marshall of Carver, and the brother of Claire A. Marshall of Quincy. Born in Nova Scotia, he was the son of C. Valpey Marshall, and Helen (Graham) Marshall.
As a mechanical engineering graduate of Northeastern University, he had a 36 year career at Boston Insulated Wire and Cable of Boston, Plymouth, and Dighton. John served in the Army in World War II and was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver on Tuesday, December 6th from 4-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the United Parish, 115 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver, on Wednesday, December 7th at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at the Union cemetery in Carver.
